Cracker Jack was surprised and mumbled, "You could talk?"
"Almost everyone of us can talk here except the young son of the Emperor," the goldfish replied.
Cracker Jack: Ha? Really. How come he cannot talk while you can?
Gold fish: The emperor's young son is only a year old.
Cracker Jack: And - how old are you?
Gold fish: You wont believe me. I'm over 150 years old.
All the crew boastfully laughed so loud, and one of them suffered a stomach ache. One guy had a hard time breathing.
Henry: That's impossible! Goldfish never live that long period of time.
Goldfish: That's what you think. Wait till you see the creatures out there.
Jerry: Oh, are you scaring all of us with your fancy little tale of yours?
Goldfish: Hmmm----(then the fish laughed hysterically). You know what? You can believe me or not but I like you Cracker Jack and your funny men. You're all dim-witted. Hehehehehe!
After Jack introduced the rest of his merry men he asked the goldfish who wants to be called Golda.
Cracker Jack: Would you like to help us find the golden ivory? And how we can have it right away?
Golda: You mean to say you are here for that golden relic? Uhm...you will have a problem. Big problem you know. The sacred relic belongs to the young emperor Toyotami.
Jack thought he could see the young emperor and then he could probably ask him instead or his parents.
Based from the old ancient story the Tokugawa's empire had their wealth progresses through their field of soya beans that never stop growing until it fills the whole empire. The whole kingdom is filled with variety of beans except the pond where Golda lives. It is the only source of water. The pond is clear and clean. Dr. Waldo Turner tested the water if it's okay. It just need chlorine tablets and it's safe for drinking. Or you can boil the water up to a safe boiling point to make sure that there is no bacteria.
Jack: Golda we have to keep on walking then to find the kingdom of Toyotami. If you don't like to help us we'll just settle to our own plan.
Jack and his men walked down the ladder and tried to jump from the last step to the bank of the pond. Only then they realized the pond is bigger than what it is. It's more than a lake. It's a river!
"Yeah right!" "Make it an ocean, gushed Jerry. It is ambiguous alright.
Justin: You have to widen your eyes.
Pressurized inside their spaceship that their vision has deceived them. They all agreed. They all said goodbye to Golda. Golda just nod and gave them a big smile.

BOOK CHAT Chapter 7 - The Book

The Book Chat opens at a very early morning. Earlier than usual. Veronica has the unusual energy to look after her bookstore which is of course a good thing. For the past three hours she had about 15 customers and ten of them bought "new arrival" books from the counter. How happy she is can prominently seen from her radiant smile.
She's about to take a good rest behind the counter when a young couple arrived. She welcomed the couple with a pleasing word " Hello!" The couple just said hello also and continued browsing through the narrow aisle where shelves of books are located.
Veronica let them have more time to find what they are looking for before she asked them what they really want or what they are in search of. That's showing politeness. Giving customers the chance to view and see first then if they really want something they will ask and that's how to offer your help or support.
One thing that really get the customers pissed off is when sales clerks followed customers like as if they are like dogs haunting and hunting them for something. Being courteous is what every individual needs in times of buying and selling. Never ever be rude to your clients for you never really know what's the purpose why they were there in the first place. Although being alert as a clerk is still an option. The clerk or sales person's duty is to sell products. You are not selling yourself. That's the main goal. SELL THE PRODUCT NOT YOURSELF.
Later, the young couple seemed tired in their search. They approached Veronica.
Veronica: May I help you?
The Couple (Man): We're looking for the latest book about Merlin and King Arthur. Any story about those two characters would be of help to my kid's term paper in school.
Veronica: There are several books about Merlin and King Arthur. Hollywood even made so many movies about them. Since you are looking for the "latest" I would suggest a book written by Jane Yolen. The story is not even been heard or touch by the movie sectors. So I think this is something new.
Woman: Really? What book is that?
Veronica: The book is entitled " The Sword Of The Rightful King." In this book the characters are depicted vividly and more enchanting roles for Merlin.
The Couple: Great! That's what we really want for my kids.
The Couple purchased four books with the same title. Veronica mumbled a bit. She was surprised why they are getting four books instead of one. She doesn't want being nosy. If they want four books then they can have it. The couple paid the books urgently. Just as Veronica gave them the receipt the couple said goodbye. They were in a hurry. She wonder why. What she noticed when the couple left the bookstore, there was a $50.00 bill inside the tip jar.
"Oh my God!" "Is that a joke? " They gave me $50 for a tip?" Veronica was a bit surprised. Actually more than surprised. It was shocking. They are probably super rich and tipping that big amount of money is sort of nothing to them.
Anyway Veronica knew that their kids will surely enjoy reading a good stunning, smart and mysterious novel written by Jane Yolen.

Memoirs of Friendship - Chapter 7
At Jenny Garfield's Residence: Jenny's house has three bedroom with sunken living room and an extra family room big enough for the party. The adequate space can occupy the whole class. It wont be a problem. The kids were delighted to start the party.
Jenny introduced her Dad to her classmates and to Miss Kraft. Her dad and Miss Kraft get along well together. Jenny's Dad and Miss Kraft had this common denominator to say the least. Both showed maturity having cool conversation. They have a good chemistry between them that the girls have noticed. Joan told the special attention that Jenny's father had shown their adviser. Jenny could only think it's about time. Her dad's been divorced for more than 10 years.
Joan,Janice and Jeaneth helped their friend in entertaining their classmates. Girls offered some snack: Chips, peanuts, pop, punch (pineapple-orange juice with gin tonic -mild) Disco songs were played by the designated DJ (disc jockey). The music of the Village People, songs from Michael Jackson's Thriller and Billy Jean, Stayin' Alive by the Bee Gees were played.
Later the DJ played the song "Stairway to Heaven." When Jenny's father danced with Miss Kraft, the rest of the students wont budge to participate the slow moving song. Joan asked Jenny to dance with Leopold or to Arnel.
"Why should I?" Jenny replied to Joan and blurted out, "Why don't you?"
Joan responded," They're not my type!"" Besides this is your home it's for you to keep your visitors to feel at home." Joan left and sit beside Jeaneth and Janice. The girls had fun watching their classmates as they danced on the dance floor.
Joan: Wow! It's nice seeing Miss Kraft back to being a human again.
Janice: Hey, don't be boastful and sarcastic girls. She deserved to have a little romance don't you think?
Jenny: (laughing) Funny! Good that my dad is divorced and Miss Kraft is still single then matching the two is just fair. I mean I don't mind if my dad marries again. I like Miss Kraft I think she is very smart.
Jeaneth: I think it's about time for your dad to be happy and so as Miss Kraft. Besides your mom is not here in Canada. Is she still in Brazil?
Jenny: Yes she's till in Brazil together with my brother and sister. I might visit them someday. But not this year ...no I'm not ready (Jenny feeling sad for a moment left the girls and attend to her other chores at the kitchen)
Years passed by as the leaves have turned from its natural color green to yellow, orange to red and then brown so as the days of their lives. Nothing much important happened in their second year being Sophies or Sophomore except that the girls have continued their transformation and updating of data. Major subjects of study surely catapulted from simple math of Algebra to Geometry.
Second Year of study in High School requires them to take extra curricular activities. The four girls favored being a member of the school choir and dance troupe.
Then on third year in High School their mathematics has been upgraded to Trigonometry and statistics. Their Science subject has uplifted to Chemistry which required them to attend their class in the laboratory where they can have their chemical experiments.
Experiments were done through the help of their teacher, 2 instructors and guide. They have hamsters, mice, and frogs to dissect. Blood, oh real blood to study and testing done with the help of the Bio-chemist.
When it comes to their English 3 it's all about Literature. Reading and Writing. theme writing, Poetry and Essays. The students were asked to memorized a poem in 12 stanzas and they were asked to recite them in front of the class. Memorization from what they discovered is way too easy when you're young and less than twenty years of age.
All of these activities inside the classroom were then emphasize in a strictly manner. Just like robots following the order of the School teachers. Only the four girls were able to reach to the point of superiority. Other students were not able to reach the goal and back out and asked that they'll be replace or move to other sections. From 25 students there were only 15 students fighting to survive and struggle for more hardship. For the four studious girls its another game played with much ease and precision. Studying and research is just a mere GAME for these four girls but nobody can understand or comprehend their sole purpose.
