Chapter 17 Cracker Jack Lobster - Taking The Golden Ivory

Excited, thrilled and stoked! Cracker Jack's crew we're so glad that it's finally over. They can go home to their family. Almost running fast...and hurriedly as they carried the golden ivory placed inside a neat box heading to the same path going to the pond where the spaceship is.

Cracker Jack: Oh my, so happy that the King was kind enough to give us the golden ivory. Just couldn't believe it you know.

Leo Solo: Did you hear what the Queen said? They have too many of those golden ivory in their trunk.

Cracker Jack and his men couldn't control their laughter. They thought they hit the jackpot. Only then when they reached the great pond -----there's no laughter no more.

The happy men of adventure were shocked of what they have seen.

Cracker jack: What happened to our spaceship?

"Oh no! " as they all screamed and yelled.

Their spaceship is now a total wreck! Bits and pieces of scrap!

Golda appeared and informed them that the Mother Bean plant arrived, furious and mad. She tossed the spaceship up and down until they are broken.

The eleven men cried and weep in agony. How could they go home?

Tears flowing down their cheeks. They keep calling their Mom, Mother, Mommy, Mama, Nana, Nanay, Mommaaaaaaaaa

Suddenly Cracker Jack heard a familiar voice --

"Mother ? !!!" Mother is that you?"

"Wake up Jack you've been sleeping for more than three days and three nights." The boat is waiting at the pier. It's time for you to catch some lobsters."

"Wake up and get up!"

Chapter 16 Cracker Jack The Special Meal

The eleven elite men brought some spices and special seasoning from the spaceship. Based from the recipe they assured each one of them can bring out the best of the very best food.

Halfway to their cooking the Royal couple and their consorts arrived and watched them. When their food are cooked the couple asked their close relatives to try the food that are served on the table.

William Esso: My viand is based on vermicelli made from the finest soya beans then stir fried with thin slices of beef and spring onions

Justin Mel: I prepared chunks of tuna with thin slices of green beans. Stir fry of course.

George Ahman: Finely cut string beans with finely thin slices of beef. Also stir fried.

King Panucha: How come everything is stir fried? Why?

Cracker Jack: Don't worry King Panucha I have a special kind of soup made from the finest soya beans and peas.

Henry Eggy: I also have soup. Salmon with chopped spring beans. Fish soup anybody?

Leo Solo: I can only think of wine fermented from the finest soya beans from your garden. I know it's ridiculous but this soya wine once aged for years will eventually turned out one of the best wine in the world.

Jake Mackey: I prepared beans salad mixed all the bean variety with certain kind of cheese from the cow's milk.

Terence Tyrelli: I had the beans processed into pasta and added some special spices and seasoning

Jerry Lewishki: There's nothing I can think of but steamed the green beans and spread butter and seasoning to enhance its flavor

Waldo Turner: I experimented on making special juice from soya beans

King panucha: That's terrific!

Lorenzo Dumas Scotty: What I did is > Leo's wine? I added certain kind of stuff on it and made it into special sauce. Sauce for viand that needs pungent flavor. Just in case you don't have salt.

The King and Queen were impressed. After the Kingdom aides tried the food and nothing bad happened to them they also decided to taste the food on the table. Almost everyone in the kingdom like the servings.

Food that were set aside for the Baby emperor were taken to his room.

The Queen used the silver spoon to feed their one and only son. The baby boy showed different facial expressions.

After the feeding, the Royal Couple was happy to announce that their baby emperor is finally having his meal.

King Panucha: We are overjoyed on your attempt and gentle persuasion that I have to honor what I have promised. Guard you can give them the golden ivory.

Jack and his ten men were all happy about the announcement.

Cracker jack: Thank you! Thank you King Panucha. You are a man of honor.

Chapter 15 Cracker jack Lobster - Emperor Toyotami

Cracker Jack was adamant although he informed the King that he had no choice. "I will help you feed your son but on one condition," Jack told the King.

"And what is that Cracker Jack? Ask me anything," King Panucha; feeling he doesn't have any choice either.

Cracker Jack: I'll do anything to help your son but in exchange for the golden ivory.

The King of Tokugawa mindful about what he heard from Jack started thinking and wondering, he felt being trapped. He touched his chin and then blurted, " what the heck if its for the best and it's for the cure why should I be a hindrance to that."

After supper the King and Queen allowed the crew of Cracker jack to see Emperor Toyotami. Toyotami's nursery room is filled with too many toys, three gorgeous yayas. The three yayas were just watching him played with the many tendrils of the "Bean plant." He was being cajoled, tickled and entertained that laughter fills the air. The baby is over joyed because the bean plants have mind of their own.

Queen Shielah: Don't be shocked that's a normal setting here. A situation that is more than common. They seemed to enjoy each other's company. He never get hungry or else he'll cry.

Jack and his friends cannot find words to describe what they've seen that they all bowed down and kneeled before him. Seeing how happy they are...what is the importance of food?

Cracker jack approached the boy. He stared at him. He is such a cute little boy making a peek-a-boo gesture. Then the child chuckled and giggled as if he had seen a funny clown face. Still being curious, Jack got his magnifying lens and tried to inspect the crawling tendrils of bean plants.

Then suddenly loud screaming was heard.

Cracker Jack: Ouchhhhhhhh! How dare! Who did it?

It turned out the naughty tendril stalked cracker Jack's butt and spanked him for his curiousity.

Loud laughter and commotion followed that they were ushered out of the nursery room. The guys went back to their private room and made plans.

Terence: So, what is our next move? Do we have to cook the best food for the fuzzy emperor?

Justin: That's right. Food with special formula. The flavor that is not flat.

Jerry: Oh you tasted their food is bland eh? Flat tasting food. They "look delicious" though.

Anyway they all fell asleep knowing they had a good solution for the next day. When the dawn breaks Jack was seen looking out at the window. He observed that the other side of the pagoda has a field of beans and mind you they are not active. The bean plants are very quiet. There is no movement. Then he saw some cattles grazing on the field.

Cracker jack: Wake up everybody. I have a good idea.

They all tiptoed outside the pagoda and gathered 4 basketfull of healthy beans: soya, string beans, lima beans, gree beans, haricot including green peas.

The kitchen aide gave them the key to the main kitchen so that they can all start cooking before the Royal family wakes up.

The eleven elite men known for their martial arts put their white aprons and started working at the kitchen. They sharpened their knives, cleaned the casseroles, pots and pans and prepared the recipe for the special meal fit for the boy king.

Chapter 14 Cracker Jack Lobster - Meeting The King & Queen of TOKUgawa

There's not much intimidation or inter-rogation taking place except that the group were asked simple sympatheTIC questions. Then they were finally let go inside the pagoda.

Their curiousity runs mild. They whispered to each other ears. They noticed that the women wear their traditional costumes made of fine silk and others wearing shiny satin gowns with intricate embroidered pieces designed of special symbols or ornaments.

Justin: Why they have cushions at their back?

Leo: Know why? So that you wont forget where you put the pins.

All the guys laughed hysterically (quietly...trying to control the laughter but still they end bursting, chuckled and giggled until their face turned red)

Cracker jack: shut up! Stop being ridiculous.

Waldo: I think it meant something else.

Justin: You think it's a PUZZLE? I wont lose no sleep on that.

Cracker jack: You know what? I have something to tell you. In 14th Century BC the pins are very expensive. Only the well to do family can afford them. But then without pins and needles how they can have a garment or beautiful clothes. That's why in 14th Century English Parliament the parliamentarians passed an ACT that allowed to sell PINS less than its value on the first 2 days in January. All women are given money to buy PINS for their special needs.

"So you mean to say the cushions at their back has something to do with the story or history of pins?" George asked Cracker jack.

"Good question." I was thinking more than what pins are supposed to do. It could be for health reason or never mind." Cracker remind them that their culture is different from ours so we have to respect them for their differences, their uniqueness. Their skin color? Aren't their skin fair enough? I mean their skin color is the same as ours."

Inside the pagoda: All the people are looking at them. They never smile. Nobody does. Now they felt uneasy. They all felt nervous and anxiety sets in.

Then they heard the loud sound of the bell and drums. The Head army announced the coming of the King and Queen of the Kindgom of Tokugawa.

"Why they are honored as King and Queen when in Japan they should be called Emperor and Empress?" Jack was curious to know.

The King and Queen of the Tokugawa were already old. Too old to do the work for the kingdom. Toyotami's parents are already five hundred years old!

George: Oh my God! How could they live so long?

The head army heard their inquiry and he told them that everyone in the kingdom has long life. As a matter of fact, the little child Toyotami is only a year old and ...

"And what?" Jerry asked.

The head army stopped answering the question and introduced King Panucha and Queen Shielah to the foreign visitors.

King Panucha and Queen Shielah welcomed them with a smile. They all bowed down but it's not polite to look at them in the face. It is customary to looked down while they talked and they -- Cracker jack and company have to prefer to listen instead.

King panucha: Welcome to our kingdom Cracker jack. What can I offer you and your friends?
Jack: I and my courageous men are here in your kingdom King Panucha to recover and retrieved the sacred golden ivory.
King panucha: Hahahaha! Did you know that the sacred relic belongs to my one and only son?
It belongs to Emperor Toyotami and his heir.
It's up for my son Toyotami to decide whether he'll give the golden ivory or not. He cannot be disturbed right now. He is sleeping.

Queen Shielah: If you want you and your men can stay here at the pagoda for the night then you can join us to celebrate Toyotami's birthday celebration. He just turned one year old today.

Supper was set right immediately. The dining hall was adorned with beautiful colorful trimmings of cherry blossoms, lanterns, bonsai, ikebana floral arrangement, hanging beans of all kinds including green peas. Lots of food are served to the delight of the whole crew. They were all hungry. They were all hungry alright that the King was pleased that they like the food.

King Panucha: Do you like our food on the table, Jack?

Afraid that the king will think he is rude and arrogant if he will tellthe truth so he said:

Cracker jack: The food is good, my Lord. They look delicious. Err...king panucha where is your son? I haven't seen him yet.

King Panucha: Oh that fuzzy little boy King doesn't want to eat again.
Queen Shielah: It's hard to feed our baby. It's our number one problem here. I don't know what to do with him.

Jack: Maybe I could help Queen Shielah if you don't mind.

King Panucha: Thank you Cracker jack but I am warning you. You'll have a big problem.

Chapter 12- Cracker Jack Lobster - Arrival At The Gate

"There's no need for me to have these compass and telescope."" I might as well throw them," Leo said.

Jack: No. I'll have them. We might use them later on. (Jack hid them on his pocket)

Suddenly they took noticed of the red pagoda after they passed the Tori gate. The golden red pagoda is remarkably stunning. Amazing! The architecture is impressive." I haven't seen anything like that in Acadia," blurted Cracker jack.

Green Gecko: We are now entering the Enchanted Kingdom of Emperor Toyotami. I'd better go. Make sure you respect and honor whatever promises you have to make in the presence of the Royal family. The young Toyotami is very wise and clever.

Cracker Jack: What? I first thought he can't barely talk.

Green Gecko: Not because a person cannot talk is not wise at all? I must go now and I hope you'll enjoy the many festivities inside the pagoda.

At the Tori gate hundred thousand of warriors approached them. Then they parted to form two formations. The group felt insecure. They were excited but deep within their hearts they are shaking, beating nervously , trembling in fear. Their minds and eyes wide open for their next move.

Fifty thousand warriors on the left, fifty thousand warriors on the right. Warriors wearing uniformed black suits, red outer body coverings and gray shields, their arms ready armed with sharp spears and other weapons. Then another troops in hundreds have their hands armed with bows and arrows.

Then four leading warriors approached them armed withe extra ordinary weapons for combat. They are not as aggressive compared with the rest of the multitudes. One of them can understand the language. He can able to grasp Cracker Jack's language. Sure they are lucky enough that somebody from a foreign land can able to communicate to them with much understanding.

God knows what will happen when intruders arrived at their door step all of a sudden. What Cracker Jack and his men noticed are the many flamboyant lavish festivity they have.

Leo: Looks like there is a certain celebration going on in this kingdom. We're like ah, gate crashers!

Waldo: Just the right timing for us? Sure we could think of the positive way. Being optimistic helps.
