Marie went to the basement of the office and grabbed the key from her bag and opened her new vehicle > a humvee! It's a complete all terrain vehicle with built-in video and cellphone + GPS. Inside the compartment is a red and blue pill which she swallowed and she left the Drake's basement speeding crazy up to the highway. Unquestionably, she is such a great driver having maximum overdrive and no one ever bothers her on the way. She was driving with no sense of purpose and direction until she reached El Paso. She stopped at the blockade waiting for a signal that only her knows it. After few seconds, there was a beam of light flashing through the video...it was a green beam of light. Suddenly her humvee has changed its color from navy to camouflage. The blockade was removed on the road and then she started driving again.
Marie was driving for almost 7 hours on the long highway, almost deserted and barren. It was getting dark, there is no electric post nor any highway signs but she continued the search until another block stopped her. This time it's a big image of a house appeared at the middle of the route close to Roswell. The background is filled with hundreds of big rolling hays.
"It's a chateau!" How on earth there is a chateau on this highway?" Marie asked herself. She got out from her vehicle and grabbed her bag and have it wrapped around her body like a vest. She went straight to the front porch of the house, then knocked at the door. She waited for a while and knocked twice. Nobody answered. She tried again. She touched the door knob and wiggle it. She unzipped her bag and grabbed her revolver. She knew it was loaded and she's ready to fire it just in case. Since nobody answered her calling, she forced open the door. She kicked it so hard until it was open. The old house was opened and it was dusty. Marie started coughing as if she'll have an asthma attack. "For God sake this house is full of asbestos!"
"Anybody here?" She asked one more time. She was aiming the gun towards where the noise is but there is none. It was her heart beating faster and faster. She was nervous, the house is dark, it was in total darkness until she heard footsteps coming from the front door. Then there was bright light that appeared almost blinding her.
"Who's there?" "Hold on right there whoever you are " warned Marie, pointing the gun at the the intruder.
"Hey wait Marie it's me, Larry." Larry holding on to a flashlight and asked her what is he doing in that old house.
"You tell me what are you doing here, Larry?" She questioned him instead.
"Ah, I just followed you. I am concerned about you. Our co-workers felt the same way seeing you confused and disoriented." Larry explained." How about you?", he asked her.
Before Marie could even respond to him there was a loud explosion at the back of the house.
Marie asked Larry to get out of the house before the second explosion. Third explosion from where God knows where its coming from they were out of the old chateau. They run for cover. Marie stood there beside her humvee and watched the terrifying unidentified falling object from the sky. Up in the darkness of the sky are double halos and wavelike strength of aurora floating in the sky. She was mystified, her eyes not blinking until Larry shouted at her and told her to get in to her vehicle.
"Get out of this site before something fell through and you get yourself burn," Larry said to her as if commanding her. Knowing he is one of the executives and older employee at Drake's she listened to him like a lamb following order of command.
