Autumn Rose - Page Two

What to post today when almost everyone have the same story. It is time to be different from them all. something hilarious, something ludicrous? Let me try this one:

Mr. Smart: Dam how come you have your crown on your belly?
Mr. Dam : Oh, I do not know where to put the crown.
Mr. Smart: Hello! Are you out of your mind?
Mr. Dam: You mean I have to place it on my head?
Mr. Smart : Damn if you know. Dumb if you don't.

Note: Calligraphy or cartoon animated or graphic strip on this part of the page. Picture to help the visionaries. Oh they are vsionaries therefore they can see the future.

Or I can add my picture photo of me and another friend from the island. Make my story enhancing to the point that we really climb the mountain and viewed some statues. We did actually. Three of us, women of curiousities. Our morning spent first attending the city's Catholic church then off we go to the ferry. From the ferry's dock we rode a hydrofoil. It was such a fantastic boat that is similar to a catamaran. Whew! I just couldn't believe the speed of this one of a kind very extra ordinaire boat. I felt like in super jet in a speed of sound, that was quick and fast. I almost succumbed to the pit of vertigo. Many of the passengers mostly tourists: Chinese, Japanese, Europeans, British, and Filipinos. We're in awe and shocked a bit...suddenly there are several passengers having nausea, others vomitted good that there are available disposable bags for them to vomit. With my chewing gum in my mouth helps alleviate the tendency to fall into the trap. It helps me keep my stand and my strong legs able to keep fit with the rambaucious waves. I'm still young, strong and smart I think that the spinning doesn't bother me.

On that small island called Lantau (meaning Walang Tao - No human being?) If that's the kind of definition for the Chinese I don't have a clue. I have my own definition for everything. There are no vehicles around. Everyone walks. People are polite, courteous, friendly and accomodating. They are slim, I haven't seen anybody fat. They seemed happy contented people. There are no tall buildings. The tallest buildings are only 3 storry ones with stores or groceries at the basement. Too many open market stalls selling fresh fruits and vegetables, fish and poultry. I felt like I was in the Philippines. Loving the atmosphere, the air is crisp and it is not really hot. Mild temperature and we really enjoyed the view. I bought fresh flowers and then we climbed up and used the stairs. Stayed for a while, sit down on the concrete bench and took photographs. Then walked three more blocks and there we spotted the Monastery. A friend of mine who knew the priest and other missionaries introduced us and we are ushered to the dining hall. It was lunchtime. Watermelons were served. There are too many school girls and boys who are participating in the mission conference. Good for them. They have to propagate the Catholic religion. More picture taking happening. The last session was me > beside those gumamela plants beside the stairs. Red gumamela not pink.

Back to the ferry and rode the hydrofoil again and arrived at home tired and writing the many memories that faithful climb had in me throughout the day losing few lbs. is a good trade off ... being slim is in. I hate being fat. I don't wanna be a loser. It is being fat that you get so sick and the cause of so many ailments like high BP or collecting cholesterol.

Note: The face of Lantau Island is probably not the same scenery now after 20 years.
