Back to the town known as Roosevelt Area. You are right the town is named after Roosevelt, the US President. I and Mateelda love this name. Know why? We're both frank. Obnoxious? Not really. Some people thought we are but we are not.
Mateelda and I (Vivianne). Just in case you, the reader is confused about the names here. I am in my own portrayal of Vivianne.
Time of arrival at the tavern is just right. We had so much time to do the inspection. Olga met us for the last time. The inspection begins. All the rooms, all the floor inspected including the basement used as "wine cellar" and storage for non-perishable food and items. Upstairs which is the second level is a 2 bedroom suites with a small bathroom. Adequate space for kitchen and entertainment room which I opted to make it as half mini-library for my collection of books.
The movers came after an hour and the inspection is finished. The stocky guys helped us with the lifting and carrying of our appliances and furniture upstairs. More boxes were moved to proper places. We paid and thanked the movers for helping us. Then they went back to the city.
See, this tavern has a double purpose. A living quarter and a business establishment. Such a humongous deal of a lifetime. Great! So great that I could jump and shout like Mateelda. She just jumped for joy.
Mateelda had chosen the room on the left with the view of the teal blue mountain and hills. The room on the right is mine. It has the view of the ocean. I know Mateelda loves the sea but hey we have a balcony facing the beach. Just looking at the beach I know she would like to run over there and swim. Good grief we had so much fun swimming last night.
It was such a long, long day for us. After hours of moving our suitcases and luggage upstairs I felt so tired and sleepy. I was exhausted! That's the right word for it. I locked the door in my room and sleep on my bed.
Hours have passed by. I woke up with cramp on my left leg. I pulled it up and get the shock of my life.....it was bleeding. Shaking and trembling in fright I run towards the medicine cabinet and hurriedly grabbed the cotton balls and adhesive tape. As I wipe dry the blood, there is a strange cut in my left foot.
"What's goin' on?" I just couldn't believe what's happening. I slapped my face. Am I dreaming or what? "
No. I'm not dreaming. It's not a dream it's real. Then suddenly I heard Mateelda knocking at the door. Almost yelling loudly saying, "Dinner is ready."
I opened the door. Although nervous and a bit shocked I managed to look at Mateelda's face. She seemed happy and giggly.
"What's wrong?" Are you okay? You looked like you have seen a ghost." Mateelda was asking me a lot of questions. I keep my mouth shout for a moment. Later asked her what's for dinner.
Mateelda smiling and grinning from ear to ear and replied, "Spaghetti!"
